About Braeden Kilburn

Hello! I’m Braeden, a software engineer with a knack for solving puzzles and a passion for sharing knowledge. Currently, I’m an Software Engineer at Vivint where I hone my skills in front-end development. My work includes developing user-facing websites using Vue, ensuring they’re as user-friendly as they are performant, and writing tests that fortify our codebase.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from BYU under my belt, I bring a solid foundation in Web Development, Software Design, and UI/UX Design Principles to the table. My technical skill set is broad, encompassing HTML/CSS/JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS, to name a few.

Outside of work, I’m a licensed FAA Private Pilot, a volleyball and football enthusiast, and interested in humanitarian efforts in Cambodia. I’m fluent in Cambodian (Khmer) and have a deep appreciation for the intersection of technology and human experiences.

This blog is a window into my world of code during the Advent of Code event. It’s where I’ll share my approaches to solving each day’s challenge, reflecting the same meticulousness and dedication I apply in my professional projects. So, whether you’re a coding enthusiast or just curious about the process, I invite you to join me on this coding journey.
